Beyoncé has revealed that she has “killed off” her alter ego Sasha Fierce.
The singer explained that she originally invented the alias to separate her personal life and her career.
However, in an interview with Allure magazine, the star explained that she is now comfortable with her life and no longer needs an alter ego.
“Sasha Fierce is done,” she said. “I killed her. I don’t need Sasha Fierce anymore, because I’ve grown and now I’m able to merge the two.”
Beyoncé added that she is hoping to take a break from performing, explaining that she wants to “paint and cook and to do Broadway shows and museums. And learn just to be at home and just watch television”.

The sidewalk outside Macy’s Herald Square yesterday was crammed with contenders, standing in the cold for hours for the chance to try out. No, not for American Idol or any other reality show, but for Beyonce Knowles’ new fragrance.
The weather was freezing, but that didn’t deter about 500 fans who were finally able to, well, heat up by smelling the sweet scent of Beyonce’s Heat perfume inside the famous department store.
On hand for her big event, the singing sensation/entrepreneur of all things fashionable made her way into the store dressed in a short navy blue dress and pretty red pumps.
Yes, Beyonce looked hot, but the perfume she was presenting was perhaps hotter. Women’s Wear Daily reported that first day Macy’s sales made $60,000.
Wow!
That’s a lot of fragrance to spray in the right direction.

The 52nd Grammy Awards belonged to Beyoncé as the singer smashed the record for most trophies by a female artist in a single night.
The 28-year-old picked up a record six prizes Sunday, owning a ceremony in which a group of young artists helped put a fresh face on the greying Grammys.
“Wow, thank you so much,” Beyoncé said as she took the stage to claim her award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
“I’m sorry, I’m nervous. I’d love to thank my family for all their support, including my husband, I love you. And I’d like to thank all of my fans for all of their support over the years, goodnight, thank you.”
Though Beyoncé was set to duel with 20-year-old Taylor Swift and 23-year-old Lady Gaga in all three of the Grammys’ main categories, it didn’t end up being much of a fight.
Swift did take Album of the Year for Fearless, and she took three other awards, including Best Country Album.
But Beyoncé won Song of the Year for the omnipresent “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and brought her all-time Grammy haul to 16 awards.
She had previously been tied for most wins by a female at a Grammys with Lauryn Hill, Alison Krauss, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse.
Gaga, for her part, wound up marginalized in non-mainstream categories, despite having logged five No. 1 hits in little more than a year. She took home Best Dance Recording for the still-ubiquitous “Poker Face” and Best Electronic/Dance Album for The Fame.
If there was another upset to be witnessed during the evening, it might have been when Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” nabbed Record of the Year from Beyoncé. “Use Somebody” wound up winning in three categories by night’s end, also notching Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
Other three-time winners were Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, and the stubbornly massive Black Eyed Peas. Eminem and South Asian composer A.R. Rahman had two apiece.
While Swift couldn’t rival Beyoncé’s haul, the songstress with the long golden locks seemed thrilled to win at all.
Hours after she won two awards during the non-televised pre-show (and held one of the trophies up, exclaiming in disbelief: “This is a Grammy!”), Swift climbed the Staples Center stage again to claim the prize for Best Country Album.
“I just keep thinking back to when you’re in second grade and you’re singing at your talent show for the first time and people joke around and say: `Maybe we’ll see you at the Grammys someday,’ and that just feels like an impossible dream,” said Swift, who had stood with her mouth agape for a few moments before summoning up an acceptance speech.
Pink performed her contemplative piano ballad “Glitter in the Air” while suspended high in the air. Backstage, Pink said she was a gymnast for eight years and has been doing silks for seven years, and claimed in all seriousness that she’s a better singer while flying around like a marionette.
She admitted, though, that the strobe lights caused her to lose her balance for a moment. “I thought I was going to fall on my nude butt, but I worked it out,” said the feisty singer.
“I would say that no one ever has another excuse to lip synch.”

Well done Beyonce!

Always busy with her career, Beyonce is looking to relax before adding an addition to the family.
The Single Ladies singer says, “I definitely want to have a child, but I know from my nephew it’s a lot. I hope that those things will just happen naturally. I still haven’t had time to relax.”
Meanwhile, the star has been working hard with music and maintaining her famous figure. “I always say, ‘I don’t want to lose my curves.’ I like firm curves. You can never do enough squats, you can never do enough sit-ups. I like for women to look feminine.”
The 28-year-old has even made some history. The word Bootylicious has been added to the Oxford Dictionary. “I still can’t believe it! It’s hilarious. I actually wish it was another word that I created. I wish it didn’t have ‘booty’ in it.”

Beyonce and Madonna have added their names to today’s multi-network Hope For Haiti Now telethon.
The star-studded fundraiser will also feature Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and former US president Bill Clinton.
Beyonce will perform from London, and Madonna from New York City.
The list of musical performers already includes heavyweights such as Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Keith Urban.
An estimated 200,000 people were killed after the powerful earthquake struck Haiti last week, devastating the nation.
The two-hour telethon will be shown on all the major US networks and a host of other channels. It will be broadcast from New York, London, Los Angeles and Haiti.
People can begin donating even before the start of the 8pm US-time concert via phone and text. Viewers can also download musical performances from the show via iTunes for 99 cents (61p). Those profits will also be donated to Haiti relief.
Actor DiCaprio announced he was donating one million dollars (£610,000) to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, the relief effort led by former US presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush, and one of the organisations benefiting from the telethon.

During the last U.K. stop of her “I Am…” tour at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham, England, Beyonce announced that she plans to release a new album next year.
“This is my last show for this tour in the U.K., so hopefully, I’ll see you all in a year with a new album,” a raspy-voiced Beyonce told the crowd at the end of the set, before thanking them “from the bottom of my heart” for coming to the show.

Cyrus, best known for playing her Disney alter-ego Hannah Montana on the small screen and concert stage, has now launched a pop career in her own right.
And the ambitious 17 year old hopes her success will match the Halo hitmaker – and help her finally elude the tabloids that are more interested in her personal life.
She tells U.S. magazine Seventeen, “I want to be like Beyonce. She is the ultimate woman. You look at her and you don’t think, I wonder what her personal life is like. You look at her and you go, That girl on the stage is a superstar. You don’t care about anything else; you only care about her music. So I would hope that would be me in the future.”

Alicia Keys is set to release her fourth studio album, “The Element of Freedom”. For this album Alicia Keys collaborated with Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z.
Beyonce and Alicia Keys will duet on a track titled “Put It In a Love Song.” A “Part II” of Jay-Z and Keys’ current hit “Empire State of Mind” will also appear on her album.
“The Element of Freedom” is set to hit stores on December 15th.
